దిశ నిందితులను పోలీసులు ఎన్‌కౌంటర్ చేయడాన్ని ఎంపీ కార్తీ పి. చిదంబరం తప్పుబట్టారు. ‘రేప్ చేయడం అనేది క్రూరమైన చర్య. దానికి చట్టంలో ఏ శిక్ష అమలు చేయాలో దాన్ని మాత్రమే అమలు చేయాలి. కానీ, చట్ట విరుద్ధంగా ఎన్‌కౌంటర్ చేసి చంపడం దుర్మార్గం. ఎన్‌కౌంటర్ చేయడమనేది ప్రజాస్వామ్యానికి మచ్చ. తక్షణ న్యాయానికి ఇది సరైన పద్ధతి కాదు. ఫేక్ ఎన్‌కౌంటర్ సబ్జెక్ట్‌తో తమిళంలో తెరకెక్కిన విసారణై సినిమాను చూస్తే ఈ రోజు హైదరాబాద్‌లో జరిగిన ఘటన ఎటువంటిదో అర్ధమవుతుంది’ అని ఆయన తన ట్విట్టర్‌లో పోస్టు చేశారు.
Rape is an heinous crime. It must be dealt with strictly under the provisions of law. While I hold no brief for the alleged perpetrators of this dastardly act, “encounter” killings are a blot to our system.
